[Resort View Feb 2025] For the Love of Golf

We celebrate love on and off the greens with a feature on Mr Jason Letchmanan and his wife Ms Karen who joined NSRCC since 2005, in honour of love, family and this amazing sport we call golf!

20 years ago, Mr. Letchmanan found himself in Vancouver, Canada, visiting his father-in-law, who was eager to hit the driving range. This wasn’t just any father-in-law; he was a seasoned golfer in his 60s with a handicap of two! Handed a 7-iron, Mr. Letchmanan took a swing. 

“I just did what felt was natural to me, and hit that shot about 130m and straight! I was hooked! I bought my first golf set from Carrefour when I got back to Singapore and the rest as they say, is history.”

With ignited spark, he joined NSRCC and started golfing with his wife, bonding over their shared love for the game. He became a member because of its affordability and location— perfect for escaping the daily grind and making new friends. Sharing this passion with his wife has not only deepened their relationship but also given them a chance to bask in the sun and enjoy stunning courses together.  He considers himself one of the lucky few to share this hobby with the love of his life.

Today, he keeps his late father-in-law’s golfing spirit alive by globetrotting with his wife to discover beautiful courses. Mr. Letchmanan has a heartwarming message for all couples: “Life’s too short to wait to enjoy the simple moments.”

Mr Tan Jee Jot, kept his story simple yet meaningful, sharing that golf has become a special way for them to spend quality time together, savouring each other's company in the serene beauty of the outdoors. 

They had amazing once-in-a-lifetime memories like achieving Hole-in-Ones at NSRCC, moments that they will always treasure.
