Club President Views Progress at Site Visit

On Jul 18, Club President Vice-Admiral (VADM) Aaron Beng, along with members of the General Committee, visited the Social and Recreation Hub construction site to view the development of the works first-hand.
It was exciting to see that the construction of our Social and Recreation Hub is progressing well. In this article, we share snippets of how it is developing so far. Read on to find out more about what is being done at some key areas of the hub.
Progress of the Construction
Chalets Chalets at the accommodation cluster are being built. The accommodation cluster forms are starting to show. |

Housekeeping Building The main concrete structure of the Housekeeping Building, with the ground and Reinforced Concrete (RC) roof, is mostly done. The next step of construction will be installing underground services and building internal walls. |

Main Visitors Drop-off These photos show the construction of the Main Visitors Drop-off Area, located between Recreation Buildings 1 and 3. Workers are pouring concrete and putting reinforcement bars. This area will be the iconic feature to welcome all visitors. |

Recreation Buildings 1, 2 and 3 The current work focuses on the installation of the precast RC columns at the ground floor. The site is full of activity and equipment, showing the progress of the vertical structural components. Safety precautions and orderly material storage also reflect the methodical approach to this stage of construction, indicating consistent movement towards the building's completion. Moreover, for Recreation Building 3, underground services works are progressing well. |

Substation & Bin Centre The substation and bin centre are almost done, with 80% of the RC works finished. The work now is on finishing the rest of the RC structures. |

Terrace Building The Terrace Building is at approximately 15% in progress. The base slab construction is finished and the ground floor's concrete columns are fully set up. The Terrace Building caters to F&B and other related activities. The building will have a modern, open design that blends seamlessly with the surrounding natural environment. It features 2 levels with extensive use of glass and open spaces, allowing for natural light and views of the landscape. The building also includes greenery on its terraces, creating a harmonious integration with the outdoor setting. |
